"Our brain constructs our worldview based on what we pay attention to"
- Deep Work by Cal Newport
This book definitely got me thinking about many aspects of work, career and life as well.
Howmuch time and energy we are investing in giving attention to things which are...
not really important...
not really in our control...
not worth our time and energy....
still, we give attention. May it be gossip, mindless scrolling, getting frustrated by circumstances and people which are not really in our control, sorting out digital junk, or indulging ourselves in useless activities.....
The solution? 🤔
Skillful management of attention.
Yes, it is a skill that we can develop.
I am gonna start learning by taking the first step_limit my time and energy spent on not important tasks.
What is the first step you are gonna take?
