Sonali Garg, Program Manager, Ex-Meta

What a Sunday Morning! 😊

I had chance to connect with Sonali Garg to pick up her brilliant mind on - Program management, Life advises, Pros and cons of working in Google and META, Work-life balance, and the right mindset to shine in your work environment and be a success.

My favorite learning from her - "Never be afraid to start from zero" ðŸ˜Ž

Here are the words of wisdom from Sonali Garg:

1. The success of program management lies into - Alignment. Alignment between your team, stakeholders, client and leadership team.

2. Speak up - never hesitate to share your ideas and thoughts - it does not matter whether it gets implemented or not.

3. Advocate yourself - It's very important to showcase your work, achievements and keep your end goal in the mind.

4. Networking - This is the key to not only career growth but personal growth too. Meeting new people, working with different mindset will give you wonders in terms of experiences and growth.

5. Ownership, Pace and recognition - The best part about working in Google and Meta:

- You get to take ownership of what you do and how you do - rather than just doing what is asked.
- You get to work in an environment where everything is at lightening speed starting from planning to execution
- Recognition matters whether its career or personal life - Appreciate your team, keep them motivated.

6. Stay away from politics and keep providing results.

7. Mentorship - Having mentor in your career can put you in a very different career path - Mentor can be anyone - your life partner, someone from your workplace, or friend - You choose.

I loved how Sonali has managed work life wonderfully - starting from having a business in program management, consulting startups for products, Mentoring people to start their path in program management and you will love her launched course on program management.

She wears different hats - program manager, Consultant, Mom and mentor so gracefully - you will get inspired. ðŸ˜‡

Thank you, Sonali, for wonderful catchup!
